Reasons 3, 4, and 5
3. The Images
You can recognize my images at a glance. They are clean, colorful, and graphic. They're accessible and friendly - not done in a trendy style that will be here today but gone tomorrow - or full of concept but not content. My shots actually tell you something about the subject; they convey an emotion, not just a thought.

4. Experience
I'm a Yale graduate. I've studied with such legendary photographers as Walker Evans, Jay Maisel, and Art Kane. For over 25 years I've worked on location as an editorial, corporate, and advertising photographer for innumerable clients on 2 continents. I've shot Presidents of the US and the homeless of our country. I've learned how to put people at ease and let them show themselves.

5. Philosophy
My philosphy is simple, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I've tried to live by this simple rule all my life. If I hire someone to paint my house, I expect him to do the best job he can possibly do. If you hire me to shoot something for you, you expect the same.

Sure, I shoot for money, and I'm not cheap. But that doesnt mean I accept any job that comes my way. I don't promise things I can't deliver. If a job is something I feel I'm not suited for, I'll tell you so and try to recommend another photographer. And if a job doesn't excite me, I'll turn it down. I've learned over the years that if I'm not enthusiastic about a job, I can't do my best work.

I am a proud member of ASMP, the American Society of Media Photographers,
